Learn About the Benefits of Microdermabrasion

Is your skin lacking the radiance it once had? Are you concerned about sunspots or little fine lines? Are you searching for a way to treat clogged pores, rosacea, small scars, or other similar skin issues? Having microdermabrasion in Orlando is definitely a procedure worth considering. Dr. Richard Bragg of Florida Vein Care and Cosmetic Center recommends microdermabrasion for people who are concerned about restoring the health, look, and feel of their skin.

What to expect after your first treatment.

In a mere 30-minute, pain-free session, microdermabrasion uses powder-fine crystals to remove your skin’s dead or damaged cells through ever-so-gentle exfoliation. After your very first treatment, you will experience notable improvement in the look and feel of your skin. Your skin will feel softer and smoother and will be able to better absorb hydrating lotions and other skin care products. Additional treatments will continue to rejuvenate the skin’s surface restoring it to youthful radiance and feeling softer and smoother after each treatment. Keep in mind that medical microdermabrasion is not restricted just to treating the face. Shoulders, backs, and chests can also reap the benefits of exfoliation.

Are there additional benefits of microdermabrasion in Orlando?

  • Microdermabrasion requires no preparation and no recovery time after the procedure.
  • Application of skin care products such as hydrating gels or lotions, acne creams, or anti-aging products will be better absorbed after a treatment.
  • Having microdermabrasion is the best way to remove a large amount of damaged and dead skin cells in a single treatment, unlike other facial procedures.

When considering a medical microdermabrasion treatment, you don’t need to be concerned about the color or tone of your skin. This skin treatment is used with fabulous results on all skin colors and types. It is also one of the best ways available to fight aging skin; the removal of dead skin cells promotes the regeneration of healthier, more elastic cells keeping you looking and feeling younger.

The Difference Between Xeomin® & Botox®

girl-1289422_1920If Ponce de Leon had indeed located the Fountain of Youth, what a world this would be.  Alas, he did not find that miraculous cure for aging, and our bodies will age despite our best efforts to keep the process at bay. The appearance of small lines or wrinkles around your nose, known as glabellar lines, are typically the first signs of aging to appear on the face. They are also referred to as frown lines. You may have tried to reduce the look of these lines through creams, serums, and ointments flooding the market only to be minimally successful or not at all.. Orlando Botox® or treatment with Xeomin® might just be the remedy you seek, providing you with better and longer lasting results. Florida Vein Care and Cosmetic Center offers several treatment options for helping your skin appear more youthful and radiant.

A consultation with Dr. Bragg and his amazing staff at Florida Vein Care and Cosmetic Center is the first step to take in deciding whether or not Xeomin or Botox is the right treatment option for you. It’s important for you to know the difference between each treatment option.

  • Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) was approved by the FDA in 2002 for aesthetic use and has since been providing excellent results for patients worldwide. Botox has an additional protein attached to its molecular structure which protects the stability of the toxin. Side effects are minimal for most patients. Botox requires refrigeration and should only be administered by a medical professional who has been trained in its administration.
  • Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) was approved in 2010 by the FDA for the treatment of moderate to severe glabellar lines (frown lines) as mentioned above. Xeomin is produced from the same bacterium that causes botulism. Xeomin does not require refrigeration and does not have an attached protein to its molecular structure. The current school of thought is that with the injection of Xeomin the risk of bad reactions is reduced because of the missing protein.

Xeomin and Botox are frequently used interchangeably as both are made from the botulinum toxin A, which produces the temporary paralysis of the facial nerves causing those nasty little wrinkles.

Dr. Bragg and his skilled staff at Florida Vein Care and Cosmetic Center will help you determine if you’ll be a successful candidate for either Xeomin or Botox treatments. We will help you explore the pros and discuss your expectations and goals. You’ll learn about possible side effects which are typically minimal. We invite you to complete our online contact form, or call us at 407-805-8989, to take the first step to discovering what Orlando Botox or Xeomin can do for you!

5 Reasons to Consider Juvederm®

portrait-1462942_1920The body is an amazing machine. As we age, it begins to give us little warning signs that things are changing. For some women (men as well), one of the first visible signs of aging is apparent in the skin. Somewhere in the mid-30’s, under-eye circles become more evident and cheeks don’t seem to be as full as they used to be. Fine lines may begin to appear around the lips; this is due to the loss of elasticity in the skin. Orlando Juvederm®, a dermal filler, is one of the treatments offered at Florida Vein Care and Cosmetic Center, and it’s one of the best options available to help keep your skin maintain that youthful appearance.

Why Juvederm?

  • It’s a one-time treatment. You won’t have to schedule multiple appointments to complete the procedure.
  • Treatment with Juvederm diminishes the appearance of scars. Depressed scars are scars where the skin has suffered volume loss. Juvederm can improve the appearance of these scars by filling in the area underneath the scar making the scar itself look smoother.
  • Juvederm restores fullness to your face by adding volume to both fine and deep lines. There are several forms of Juvederm, each specifically developed for designated areas of the face.
  • The results are immediately visible! Administration of a Juvederm procedure produces minimal pain or discomfort. You will be delighted with the look and feel of your skin before you leave the office.
  • Your results will last for months. Most patients continue to enjoy the results of their Juvederm procedure for nine to 12 months.

One of the most frequently asked questions by patients is “What is Juvederm?” The good news is that Juvederm is made from hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance already produced in the skin. Juvederm Voluma is the only gel filler to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

If the signs of aging are starting to appear and have you concerned about maintaining your youthful appearance, now is the time to schedule a consultation with Dr. Bragg at Florida Vein Care and Cosmetic Center. It’s the premier facility to experience the Orlando Juvederm difference. Scheduling a consultation with Dr. Bragg is the first step towards deciding if a dermal filler treatment is best for you. Contact us now to learn more or call us at 407-805-8989. Keep that youthful look – you deserve it!

It can be used successfully as a stand-alone product, yet it is light enough to be combined with other sunscreen protection.

Topical Vitamin K and Your Skin

Advanced Reskue™ Vitamin K Cream was developed to be used topically for the following conditions: broken capillaries, bruising from skin trauma, broken blood vessels, spider veins of the face (telangiectasia), dark under-eye circles, actinic purpura, Schamberg’s disease (broken blood vessels around the ankles), redness of rosacea, and post-surgical bruising.

Phytonadione (Vitamin K) is a vitamin that is clear, yellow, viscous, and odorless. Vitamin K is produced by the liver and provides the body with the ability to clot blood. A Vitamin K shot is given to most babies in the United States, at birth, to help with blood clotting. Vitamin K occurs naturally in many foods, especially green leafy vegetables.

Advanced Reskue™ Vitamin K Cream was developed after studies were done in 1994 showing that even a 1% Vitamin K Cream was effective (Advanced Reskue has 5%) in treating the skin conditions listed above. This proprietary formulation was developed in 1995 and has been recommended by thousands of physicians nationwide. Before this topical Vitamin K Cream, surgeons only had oral Vitamin K to offer their patients prior to surgery to lessen the severity of bruising associated with surgical procedures.

Human skin undergoes a great number of changes as it ages, both intrinsically and extrinsically. Part of these changes occur in the vascular system. As the skin gets older, there are fewer vertical capillary loops and the blood vessels get farther away from the surface of the skin. The body is less efficient in recovering from bruising, broken blood vessels, and other vascular insults, but the use of the right topical Vitamin K cream can reduce the appearance of these issues.

Advanced Reskue™ Vitamin K Cream combines several of the most advanced ingredients available in the cosmeceutical industry. Along with Vitamin K are the beneficial additions of Vitamins B, C & D, which are strong antioxidants; Vitamin E, an anti-oxidant with dermal revitalization and moisturizing benefits; Vitamin A, a moisturizing emollient with anti-inflammatory properties; hyaluronic acid to balance and retain moisture; and aloe barbadensis, a humectant with anti-inflammatory properties.

The staff at Florida Vein Care and Cosmetic Center will examine you to determine if you are a candidate for Advanced Reskue™ Vitamin K Cream. This medication will be explained, including what you can anticipate after you begin this beauty regimen. Please complete our online contact form, or call us at 407-805-8989, to schedule your consultation.
